Basic Concept

The basis of baseball is very simple. You are trying to get as many people around the bases as you can and to have them score. Through this you are getting more and more points.

There are several ways for the players to reach a base and you have to learn about each one of them to be sure of the game.

Hitting

The first and most important aspect of baseball is the hitting. You are going to be facing a man that is throwing a ball more than ninety miles per hour with a heavy spin on it.

That can be hard to hit. All you have to do is focus and then you will be much better off. When you are seeing the ball then you will be able to hit it from there.

Walking

When you are not getting the pitches that you like or that cannot be hit then you are getting thrown balls. This is the form of pitch that is intended to make the hitter swing and miss.

Well that is where you have to be sure to pay attention. IF you stand there for four balls then you get an automatic pass to the base at hand.

Stealing

Once you have reached a base then you can start to steal the other bases. This is a very common issue. You will be waiting until the pitcher throws and then you will take off for the next base.

You have to be there and on the base before the catcher is able to throw the ball to the base. This can be tricky but it is very effective if done correctly.
